The News from Noted

The Greeting Card Association's own trade event called *Noted was held at the end of April in San Francisco. Co-located with SFNow (the West Coast sister to NY Now) the show brought together an amazing cohort of 80+ publishers. Avanti Press showed off each of its 3 brands. Check out our photo album!

The venue is an actual historic pier overlooking the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. The weather was perfect, a little chilly, but sunny!

There were over 80 greeting card publishers on the *Noted floor, along with 80+ gift and home companies on the SF Now side. It was amazing to be surrounded by that many talented designers, and cool to mix the biggest companies (we're talking 27,000+ employees) with the smallest companies (we're talking 1 person)!

The industry's annual LOUIE Awards were held the opening night. While Avanti Press has won over 40 LOUIE trophies in the past, this was not our year! Still it was fun to celebrate the industry and all the up and coming talent.

We had a lot of fun putting together our AMERICA booth - we were able to show every card in the collection and put some large images on one wall with museum-like placards telling the history of each design.

Retailers continue to respond to the growing collection, and love reading the history on the back of each card. This booth saw a lot of action!

Our Avanti brand booth was a popular hang out, with best selling designs and all seasonal cards on display.

It was truly exhilarating to give A*Press its own space. Card lovers are really drawn to the bright bold colors of A*Press when shown full face like this.

While this show mostly attracted regional stores, we think it could grow to draw nationally - nowhere else can buyers find this degree of diversity and impact from the industry. Put it on your calendar for next year - Noted will be held in the same place on April 27 - 28, 2023!
